Bath & Body - Festive SpiceBath & Body - Festive Spice
With the weather getting colder by the day at the moment, and Christmas drawing ever nearer, one of my favorite things to do in the evenings has been to warm up by having a piping hot bath or a steamy shower, slather myself in body butter, then to top it all off - stick on my favorite pair of pajamas and indulge with a giant mug of hot chocolate. At this time of year, the rich, spicy scents that appear on the shelves really tend to draw me in - a waft of cinnamon is my weakness! So I thought I would share some of my favorite products that have me smelling like this all day long after using them...Number one on the list is this beautiful 'Spiced Lily Foaming Bath' from Organic Surge. Not only does it create the most amazing bubbles, but it also fills the room with the scent of the sweet orange and spicy clove-bud that it contains - divine! It reminds me of the 'Christingle' candles we used to make in school when I was younger, which I love, and is very effective in doing as it promises to by helping you relax, warm up and unwind.
If I don't have time for a bath but still want to smell and feel festively fabulous, I will use Lush's 'Hot Toddy' Shower Gel. Apart from the dreamy scent of fresh ginger and cinnamon leaf oil, it also contains seaweed, lemon juice and patchouli oil to help your skin feel super soft and perfectly cleansed. And most importantly, it is laced throughout with fine red glitter - winner!
After jumping out of the bath/shower, the last stage of my 'smell like a Christmas candle' routine involves a head to toe caking in the Korres 'Vanilla Cinnamon Body Milk'. This stuff is out of this world - it smells like cinnamon cupcakes in bottled form, sinks in easily, yet still does a great job at making your skin feel supple and nourished. No question, I am definitely going to have to get my hands on the accompanying shower gel version of this bad boy.
What are your favorite festive/winter scents when it comes to bodycare?
