Basic Principles of Ayurveda

In the beginning I started practicing hatha yoga. Before that I read a lot and I was looking for answers. And I was attracted most by hatha yoga. When I started practicing, it really affected me strongly, I learned a lot, I started to feel a way different and I am aware of them. And because hatha yoga is associated with a certain lifestyle regime, it became clear that I need to eat otherwise. But in those days there was not much information about that, and generally those who were engaged in hatha yoga practiced quite an ascetic diet, coming from India, and the Yogis, but these are yogis who live as hermits in forests, caves, mountains, etc. However, in our practice it is not recommended to starve because it would totally exhaust us, taking in mind that we live in the cities and have daily schedule. Then I learned that there was a whole section, a science that explains which foods are good for us, and how to approach them. It happened so that I went to Moscow for four years and a half, and I got my knowledge about Ayurveda there. It turned out that ayurveda had the knowledge about stones, which was pretty interesting for me - which stones are suitable for which people to wear- in the form of amulets of protection. Then it turned out that ayurveda had knowledge of absolutely anything.
Actually, Ayurveda means knowledge of life, how to live properly, to cause less damage to yourself and others.
It is easy for me to say many things, but it is not easy for people to see them as very important. Even me, who knows the Ayurveda theory very well, sometimes find it hard to follow the right path. I remember when I started with hatha yoga. For me it was like an explosion of light that opened my the whole world to me, even my whole perception of the universe. And I was very enthusiastic, very inspired. It was the most important thing for me to focus on and I achieved good results. For a person to sort out his life the right way, he should be very inspired and motivated. He should make up his mind how important this thing is for him. Otherwise, it is very easy to say, it is recommended that a person becomes a little before sunrise, go to bed around 10:00, refrain from expression of negative emotions such as jealousy, sin, anger, resentment, bad habits such as vanity and so on. We rotate in a circle where we spend extra emotion and energy, and then we wonder why some misfortune befalls us. It is not easy to follow these simple things. Is important for me as a person to refrain from eating meat.
