Granola for a gorgeous crunchy breakfast!

I use Quaker oats as they’re gluten free. Packaged granola is generally packed with added sugars, preservatives and sweeteners. Making your own is super easy and it keeps for ages in a jar.

This is just a really basic one:

2 cups oats
2 tbsp coconut chunks
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla essence

Melt the oil and maple syrup in a pan. Add the oats and other ingredients and mix well. Press into a baking dish and bake for approx 20 minutes or until golden.

Yes I’ve added maple syrup to my batch. Adding a little extra sweetness to some foods isn’t going to hurt on occasion. The difference is that some granola is approximately 15g sugar PER SERVING….This has less than that in the entire batch.
