MAKE-UP IN PICTURES

Hope your all enjoying the bank holiday Easter weekend.
I saw an article earlier in the week on the Daily Mail ‘How Much Make Up Men Really Like‘ and it gave me an idea for a new post.
The article was based on what her husband thought of her several different make up looks, so I thought I would take some pictures of myself through different make up stages, and then see which one I preferred and also the opinions of fellow bloggers, and followers!
My face through pictures:
#1 Bare faced
This is my ‘Bare minimal’ look, Im not wearing any eye make up, only Hide The Blemish Concealer on the face! I don’t think I would dare go out with out ANY face make up on EVER! (Unless I was on holiday and extremely tanned)
#2 Mascara Only
Here I have applied Colossal Lash Mascara, as well as Hoola Bronzer from my Fresh Faced post. This look is usually my ‘lazy look’ which I tend to do when I cant be bothered to spend time getting ready, or I am in a rush (Usually in a rush) as I have woken up late!
#3 Smokey Eyed Look
(Think I’ve got a lazy eye in this one haha)
This is my usual ‘Day Look’, a Natural Smokey Eyed look! For this I have added:
- Eye Shadow using ‘Estee Lauders Signature Silky Eye Shadow Duo’ which includes 01 Mocha and 02 Softsmudge Brown.
- Collections 1 Black ‘Precision Kohl Eyeliner’.
- Rimmel Londons 001 Dark Brown ‘Professional Eyebrow Pencil’.
- Benefit ‘Coralista’ Face powder.
- Loreal Paris ’301 Dating Coral’ Lipstick.
#4 Full Faced Glam
And finally I applied more Mascara, more bronzer, more blusher and generally more applications of everything! I added Rimmel Londons ’842 Black Metal Noir Eye Shadow’ and Maybelline New Yorks ‘Super Stay 14 Hour Lipstick in Stay With Me Coral 430′.
Out of the above I cant decide between #3 or #4, I think I prefer #3, but its hard to say as if I was a little more dressed up, (And not in my ‘This is my Hangover Tshirt’ / Pyjamas) I think #4 would look better! However I would say #4 is more of an evening/glam day look.
Overall I normally like looking naturally made up, however I also like to go all out and slap on the make up for a night out (Not so much it looks caked on), so I suppose you can say I am a fan of most looks (In moderation)!
I always admire the girls on the beauty counters who have immaculate make up, (but I suppose their job is to look like that, and they get to reapply it all day!)
I cant stand girls who look like they’v been playing around with ‘crayola pens’ as I just think it looks ridiculous! Your face should match your body, and so on!
But I suppose everyone suits different looks, most women pull of lipstick really well, but sometimes I think I look a bit ‘trampy’ with certain colours!
