Bank Holiday Round Up and Outfit Post

I know I’m a bit late but did we all enjoy the bumper edition bank holiday courtesy of big Liz? I sure did and returning to work on Wednesday was dreadful so TGIF!
I didn’t actually do anything specific to celebrate the Jubilee but I did watch a lot of Jubilee related guff on the TV. Mostly though, I ate...lots. It was my Mum’s birthday so I took her out for lunch and it was also Mr Juicy’s Mum’s birthday so we took her out for dinner. All that Mum time left us craving some alone time so we ended up going out for dinner together as well!
I took my Mum to Three Sisters Bake in Quarries Village for her lunch. It’s such a super cute little cafe and is definitely worth venturing out of Glasgow for.

To celebrate the Jubilee weekend they were offering home-made lemonade which was delish. I also tried their homemade elderflower and cucumber soda, yum! Bank Holiday Round Up and Outfit PostBank Holiday Round Up and Outfit Post
I stuffed myself with one of their burgers topped with brie and chutney and my Mum tried the fish cakes.  As if the giant burger wasn’t enough, I also took home a piece of their lemon drizzle cake to eat later...which ended up being 5 minutes later because I just couldn’t wait! Bank Holiday Round Up and Outfit PostI have officially added Three Sisters Bake to my mental list of places to consider when I get married. No I’m not engaged and don’t plan to be anytime soon but I can still have a mental list right?! I’ve always liked the idea of having a cake table rather than an actual wedding cake and I think Three Sister Bake would be a great shout for this.

For our little romantic meal we went to the Dumbuck Hotel which has had a huge makeover recently. It’s looking fantastic and is within walking distance from our flat so we’re thinking it’s going to be new “local”.
I had my first Basil Grand cocktail and it was beyond delicious. It's made up of strawberries and basil leaves (an alcohol obv)! For dinner I had steak pie and Mr Juicy had a burger.

Below is what I wore for Mr Juicy’s Mum’s dinner at the Ardencaple in Helensburgh. The denim shirt was a wee bargain from H&M and the maxi skirt is Michael by Michael Kors. I’ve been after a white maxi skirt for years but the only ones I could find were either tiered which is so unflattering on my figure or they were skin tight. That’s why I was so happy to find this one on Net-a-Porter. I love the cut out detailing and I will wear this skirt for many summers to come.

Bank Holiday Round Up and Outfit PostI hope you all had a great bumper weekend! Did any of my lovely readers from overseas watch any Jubilee footage? What did you think of the whole thing??
