Back To School Essentials

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Brita for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.Back To School EssentialsBack to school shopping is always one of my favorite things. It's a fresh start. Whether it's clothes, home accessories, or just getting my fridge stocked within the first week of classes. Whenever I start back to school shopping, I always make sure to have a plan and a list to make sure I'm not purchasing random items with the money I've budgeted. Apart from clothes, my back to school shopping list consists of:
  • Pink Pens ( Because let's be honest I want to pretend I'm Barbie half the time)

  • Vibrant notebooks ( I hate being bored when I'm taking my notes in class. Believe it or not colorful notebooks help me to pay attention MORE)
  • Pumpkin Spice K Cups ( I'm obsessed with ANYTHING pumpkin spice and the fact that I can get K Cups BEFORE pumpkin spice season...makes me even more excited for fall semester)
  • Blonde Bobby Pins ( I somehow lose bobby pins more than anything else. They're my life saver when I have a bad hair day or my layers are driving me crazy. I can just do a french headband braid and be done with it! )
  • Starbucks Giftcard ( I seriously wouldn't be able to get through the day without my coffee and because the on campus Starbucks takes giftcards, I'm basically well on my way to getting the Starbucks gold card. )
  • Loreal Paris Volumizing Dry Shampoo ( Ok, we all know that the only reason I use dry shampoo is to make my hair healthier...just kidding...it's for the days when I have early exams and am way too lazy to take the 45 minutes that it takes to do my hair. Valid.)
  • Brita® Pitcher ( No matter the size, this baby is such a life saver. I'm so cautious about drinking out of the tap because of the debree that gets in the water from the pipes. The Brita® is SO great with keeping me healthy and my drinking water clean. Let's be honest, we all want to feel good about the water we're drinking.)It's available at Target!
Remember to always make a list, budget, and KNOW why you're planning on purchasing the things you are. It's easy to get caught up in the glamour of certain "back to school items." But if you don't know the real reason you want to purchase them/ need them; it's probably wise to set those aside for a rainy day.
