I wouldn't deny my love for beauty products, but with the barrage of beauty products out there, product shopping is no more fun, its just mind boggling. And with each brand promising grander results in their respective expertise, the whole beauty and skincare product shopping experience has now become all the more complex. As if things could become any simpler, time is short and to-do list is long, I am shunning the ceaseless line up of products and going back to the beauty basics. I generally don't apply makeup, but on photo shoot and night-out days, makeup is unavoidable. The excitement makes makeup application fun and quick, but when it comes to removing all that grime, I get impatient. But with these oldies , wiping off all that makeup-layer becomes easy and stressless. Following are the four main products I use to remove all the gunk and to ensure that my skin is clean from deep within.
1) SIMPLE CLEANSING FACIAL WIPES- I love a good facial wipe and this one is gentle and non-drying. Always use individual wipes for individual sections: eyes, face and lips. You don't want to end with a messier and colorful face.
2) NOXZEMA CLASSIC CLEAN ORIGINAL DEEP CLEANSING CLEAN - you should always add a cleansing cream to your skincare regime. The wipes on it's own are not sufficient in removing all the dirt. With the smell of eucalyptus, this cleansing cream can be used either with a cotton swab or with your favorite battery-operated cleansing brush for an effective, more deeper clean.
3) ST IVES FRESH SKIN APRICOT SCRUB - Talk to me about this product. This scrub has been in my bathroom shelves for almost two decades now. Because of it's gentle formula and goodness of natural apricot, I use this scrub for a sure-shot step in cleansing my skin after a night out. I have a combination, prone-to-acne skin and hence exfoliation is super important for my skin. Makeup tends to sit on top of your skin and also penetrate your pores. A good scrub can extract the gunk out of your facial pores and remove any dead layer of skin. You should exfoliate at least three times a week, especially after heavy makeup.
4) PONDS DRY SKIN CREAM- you all might be able to relate to this product. Time immemorial, generation after generation, Ponds has been in my family. Undeniably, this is the bestest and gentlest formula and I always trust my daughter's skin to it. It is non-greasy, but deeply nourishing. Facial scrubs can make your skin dry, so I recommend using a lightweight moisturizer like Ponds dry skin for a clean, fresh smooth skin.
