Baby Update

I know I promised that this wouldn’t become a baby blog. But some of you have been checking in with me and asked how things have been going with my pregnancy. Well, let me just say that things are going. I’m in my second trimester which I know is supposed to be the honeymoon phase of pregnancy. So far, it’s been a little less of a honeymoon than I expected.

Did you know that you can develop morning sickness (ahem, all day sickness) anytime? Not just in your first trimester, which I didn’t have. Seriously, I have been dreading mornings. In the mornings, it doesn’t matter if I have an empty stomach or a full stomach. I get sick either way. But once I hit 10am I’m good to go. Until lunch. Then it’s like I’ve had gastric bypass and can only eat small quantities at a time or my tummy rebels. And then after dinner, same story. I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry the other night as I got sick in the parking lot of one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. Trust me I had not had any margaritas! I just keep reminding myself that this little guy is so worth it!

Look at his nose!!!  Despite feeling green around the gills, I have been busy designing rooms and changing everything up. Of course, there will be beautiful final pics of my new office space and the baby’s nursery soon. Until then, sometimes you’ve just gotta keep it real. Great decor doesn’t always happen overnight. Sometimes things get worse before they get better. Case in point, the nursery. Here’s the mood board I put together for the room.

Here’s the real deal. Some of the parts are there, but overall, it’s a hot mess.

I’ve got a lot of cleaning up to do! But really once I clean up and get the crib in. This room is pretty much done. Which is good, because despite feeling a little ill, this pregnancy is flying by. I can’t believe I’m over half way done.

Hugs
