Awesome Browser-Based Game Shows the Power of WebGL

WebGL (Web Graphics Library), the JavaScript API has evolved over the years into something incredible that creates highly detailed beautiful 3D worlds right inside our web browsers.

This simple, yet gorgeous browser game is merely an example that proves how far WebGL technology has come today. It’s a racing game created by a French development team, which takes you to a minimalist world full of beautiful colors, allowing you to control a pointy arrow through a series of checkpoints. You can play it for free here.

I’ve seen many great WebGL games over the past few months, but this particular game caught my attention because of its fluid controls and the material design inspired environment design.

WebGL could make a big difference in the future of gaming. Google has been working on that area for several months with its series of Chrome Experiments and many other web developers have also been releasing some great browser-based games. You can check out some of those games here.
