I wanted to share about a fundraiser that will benefit The Autism Society of America that’s called Author for Autism. Nick Shamhart who has a daughter with autism is the writer who is raising money for the Autism Society. Any books of Nick’s that you buy in April will directly benefit The Autism Society of America because 100% of his portion of the sale will go to The Autism Society.
There are a few ways you can help, firstly of course you can buy a book from Nick, please go to his website Author for Autism for the links to purchase the books. Another easy way you can help is to spread the word about this fundraiser. Nick is trying to petition the support from The Ellen DeGeneres Show to try to get this mentioned on her show so you can write to her here. You can also blog about it, tweet about it, or facebook about it to help spread the word. There are also printable fliers on Nick’s website Author for Autism.
