Today is the live domain name auction at Namescon.com that will be conducted by RightoftheDot.com with online bidding and viewing on SnapNames.com
So here is all of the information you need to know:
If you’re in Vegas the Event starts at 4:30 PST with drinks and food and social networking.
The actual auction should start around 5:15-5:30 PST which is 8:15-8:30pm EST & 1:30 am GMT (Wednesday), but can start a few minutes earlier or later so if you’re not in Vegas log into SnapNames by 5:15 and stand by.

There are 54 domain names with pre-bids.
All the domain names with pre-bids have to be in the live auction, under snapnames.com rules.
There is over $450,000 in pre-bids.
Pre-bidding is now closed.
If you’re in Vegas you can sign up for a paddle by around 3pm and pick up the list of live auction domains and of course sign up all the way through, even after the auction starts
Drinks and food will start flowing at 4:30pm PST.
If you want to watch and/or bid the auction online you must have a snapnames.com account with valid a credit card.
If you haven’t been on SnapNames.com in a while please log in early and make sure you have a valid, not expired credit card on file.

YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BID USING THE SNAPNAMES APP (due to the fact its a live/online auction).
You can also bid via phone or enter by entering a proxy bid on a bid on a proxy/absentee form however to do this you still need a valid snapnames account and must fill out this form, in advance and the sooner the better, and by 4 pm PST or 7 PM EST send the form to [email protected], please send a copy of that email to [email protected] as well. If you don’t for some reason get a confirmation back that your Proxy bid/Absentee form has been received it assume it has not and bid on snapnames or call us at the numbers below on this post.
Originally we were going to just have 100 domain names in live auction but since we had 54 pre-bids and all of those have to be in the live auction, we are going up to be around 135 domain in the live auction, so the auction is going to run later than the scheduled closing time probably past 8pm PST/11PM EST.
About 90% of the 54 domain names that have pre-bids have already met reserve and will sell.
Any domain name that goes unsold in the live auction will go into the extended auction along with over 200 domain names that were not in the live auction and there are some great domains in the extended auctions at all price levels both .Com’s .Net’s and .Org’s as well a many different new gTLD’s.
