ATP Picks: Roland Garros

By Thetennistipster @Tennis_Tipster

ATP Picks: Roland GarrosCould be a cracking tournament this year. Finally there is a threat to Nadal’s dominance on the dirt in Djokovic, but he does have a big speed bump in Del Potro to negotiate in the 3rd round potentially.

ATP Picks: Roland Garros

The Return of Haas

Often the dirt-ballers run out of steam by Roland Garros, but I expect the Spanish and French to still blanket the draw and who knows if Federer can perform, I’m dubious and think his best days remain on grass now. Murray could be a contender this year and Tommy Haas makes a cameo appearance in the draw. Hewitt returns but gets a toughie in Montanes.

Let’s look at some potential good 1st rounders, upsets and winners:

Surface: Clay
Defending Champion: Rafael Nadal
Top 1st Round Match:
Roger Federer vs. Feliciano Lopez
Wildcards: Arnaud Clement, Bernard Tomic, Tim Smyzcek, Edouard-Roger Vasselin, Guillaume Rufin, Vincent Millot, Benoit Paire, Maxime Texeira
Late Withdrawals:
Fernando Gonzalez,
My pick:
Novak Djokovic
