In a grand launch event hosted in Agra on 22 nd January, 2016, ASUS has finally launched the much awaited ZenFone Zoom in India. Zoom is camera centeric smartphone that assures of giving an outstanding camera experience in a smartphone. The highlight of ZenFone Zoom is that it is equipped with world's thinnest 3X Optical-Zoom.

Camera: As camera is the highlight of this smartphone, let's start by describing that. Zoom has 13MP PixelMaster camera,10-element lens created by the HOYA, laser auto-focus and world's thinnest 3X optical-zoom. It claims of being capable of giving the user a DSLR like experience as it is equipped with Periscopic innovation, SmartFSI sensor, 52MP Super Resolution, 5cm macro shots and pro-style Manual mode. The camera of Zoom can deliver close-ups with up to 12X magnification. It has Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) technology for reducing the blurring caused by shaking of camera or hand. The rear camera is aided by dual-LED Real Tone flash for more natural image quality in low light conditions. It also has laser auto-focus that can focus in just 0.03 seconds and help in taking quick shots with better clarity. ZenFone Zoom is also equipped with Panasonic SmartFSI® image sensor and can capture more light and colour for better photos.
Camera App: ASUS ZenFones have highly advanced camera apps offering several interesting camera modes. The camera app of ZenFone Zoom has an exclusive Super Resolution mode which applies multi-frame-fusion technology to create more detailed photos. In this, four high-resolution 13MP photos are fused together to create one photo with (4X) greater clarity than a single shot.

Look and Feel: In terms of design, the smartphone has a unique appearance and looks more like a camera. But its sleek shape allows it to slip easily in a pocket.
