What is #AskAwayFriday? Well…#AskAwayFriday was created by the amazing Penny from Real Housewife of Caroline County who will again be joining us from time to time, as a way to connect with other bloggers with a great Q & A session of 10 questions and 10 answers, between two bloggers! This week I swapped with Bernadyn at B is 4, she is married and has two kids. You should check out her blog it is filled with great topics include writing, reading, traveling, photography, baking, cooking, DIY, arts, crafts and spending time with my family as we go on adventures.
- What are your favorite activities to do with your kids during the fall?
As the temperatures cool off, I enjoy going outside more and watching the kids play. We are supposed to get a cold front which explains why I feel horrible this week.
My daughter is in band and she loves performing. I typically try to make one game during the school year. I feel bad because I can’t go see her perform more often but it is hard for me to sit on the hard bleachers for an extended period of time especially if they don’t have back support
- What is something you would like to achieve with your blog in the next five years?
I would love to continue to grow my blog and make a steady stream of income.
- I’m always looking for more books for my kids to read. What are some of your children’s favorite books?
I love all of the Dr Seuss books, The Giving Tree, I Love You So Much, and Brown Bear Brown Bear What Do You See?. I try to take my kids to the library so that they can find new books to read. It is a great way to give your child exposure to more books without spending a ton of money on books. I also love e-books. You can search for free books within the Kindle or Nook app.
- What is your favorite book and if different, who is your favorite author?
This is a tough question because I have read so many great books over the past several years. I have found a love for mystery books and browse the free books on Amazon. I don’t really have a favorite book or author but I have a few reviews of some great adult books.
- What is one piece of advice you would give to new parents that you wish was given to you?
I wish that someone would have told me to trust my gut instincts when it comes to raising my kids. I figured it out on my own. Your gut instinct is usually correct and you should go with it.
