Artist On The Rise: Kiesza

Posted on the 10 August 2014 by Catchmyear @catchmyear

kieszaThere are certain types of artists and music that can speak to listeners. as a European born I have developed a keen sense of appreciation and love towards house, club and techno artists. I’ve always searched for the best of the best, the artist whose music could make every cell of my body vibrate to the point where I’d get up and dance. such artists like Akcent, Edward Maya, Mia Martina, Tiesto and many more.

Now I’d like to add new artist Kiesza to my list of undeniably  talented, touch my soul, and heart-melting sensations. this 25 year old singer/ song-writer from Canada has captured my attention rather quickly. Her first single was released in 2012 tittle “Oops” and has made numerous appearances around Europe throughout the years.

She has written songs for other artists but from the release of her first single  until February of 2014, with the release of her new single “Hideaway” that I made this incredible discovery. It has been a great discovery indeed, after “Hideaway” she released a few new videos of her cover of Haddaway’s song “What Is Love“.

In the making of this video Kiesza shows a great deal of emotion when singing “What Is Love“. If one listened to the sweet soft alluring voice of this artist it will become clear to what great talent she possesses.

Months after her video of “What Is Love” cover Kiesza’s second single “Giant In My Heart” premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show on June 13, 2014. It too is a great creation. This is one artist I would personally place on the list with the best house and techno artists. She has proven herself to have a mind with great imagination also the heart and soul to make something beautiful from that imagination and rhythm inside that many of us tend to disregard throughout our lives.  If this Talented woman continues to surprise us with her beautiful music in the coming years, I’d say we’re in for a treat.  Thus far she’s done a marvelous job and we look forward to any other releases she decides to present to the world.
