Arthur Treacher’s Fish Batter

Big news for fish lovers this is one of a kind recipe prefect for any occasion especially perfect  for your otherwise boring healthy lunch ideas. Now I know many people who like fish will like this fish batter recipe no matter how the recipe looks like and for those who don`t like this recipe or in particular does not like fish should at least give this fish batter recipe a try once before leaving a comment on it. I am sure you`ll regret it if you do not give it a try.  Plus the bottom line on this fish batter is that it is reather eay to make a perfect dish for an amateur to impress his or her guest o nthe first time of their cooking. Plus it is a perfect recipe to be tried out in almost all types of occasions especially during your healthy lunch ideas. I really suggest you giving it a try and better yet leave us your feedback to encourage others who might otherwise be skeptical about this fish batter recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 3 Pounds Fish Fillets
  • 2 Cups All-purpose flour
  • 3 Cups Pancake mix
  • 3 Cups Club soda
  • 1 Tablespoon Onion powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Seasoned salt
Directions:
  1. Dip moistened fish pieces evenly but lightly in the flour.
  2. Dust off any excess flour and allow pieces to air dry on waxed paper, about 5 minutes.
  3. Whip the pancake mix with the club soda to the consistency of buttermilk-  pourable, but not too thin and not too thick.
  4. Beat in the onion powder and seasoned salt.
  5. Dip floured fillets into batter and drop into 425 oil in heavy saucepan using meat thermometer.
  6. Brown about 4 minutes per side.
  7. Arrange on cookie sheet in 325 oven until all pieces have been fried.
