Brooklyn based Arthur Moon played a sold out show at National Sawdust last week. The six-piece band, consisting of Lora-Faye (vocals), Rachel Brotman (keyboard and banjo), Nick Lerman (guitar), Marty Fowler (bass), Dave Palazola (drum) and Aviva Jaye (back-up vocals), recently released their debut EP, Our Head.
Arthur Moon’s show was unpredictable, emotional, powerful and very romantic. Lora-Faye’s vocals were dreamy, and they was layered with the band’s euphoric sounds. Together, Arthur Moon really took the audience into another dimension, into “their head.” The band played the enchanting tunes from their EP and ended the show with an experimental version of The Beatles’ “While My Guitar Gently Weeps”.
