ARROW – Exec Producer SPOILS a Season 2 Storyline, Teasing Season 3

In a recent interview with TV Fanatic, Arrow Executive Producer Andrew Kreisberg was discussing a tonal change for the show in season 3, and appears to ultimately spoil a storyline still ongoing in Season 2.

When discussing Isabel, queen Consolidated, and the Queen’s financial woes, Kreisberg says:

“That plays out in the last five episodes, And we’re going to start Season 3 with Oliver in very different circumstances than he’s been before, which, obviously, him being in different circumstances changes the circumstances of his paid bodyguard [Diggle] and his paid assistant [Felicity] since he can no longer pay them.”

That whole “he can no longer pay them” seems to spoil what the end result will be in terms of what plays out in the last five episodes.  If Thea just doesn’t sign the paperwork in time, or if Slade and Isabel manage to take everything from the Queens remains in mystery, but we do know that at the end of the season, that Oliver will no longer have the financial means he currently has.

Could this open the doors for something to happen with Malcolm Merlyn?  We know he comes back during the season finale, so time will tell!
