Arrieta

By Kipper @pghsportsforum
Firstly ...
... in the linked article by Joe Starkey from the 10/5/15 Pittsburgh Tribune Review it seems to me Starkey makes some veiled suggestions that Arrieta may be juicing. Starkey references to Barry Bonds, and then the Searage quote “(Arrieta)'s a lot stronger than he's been. I see him filled out."
29 year old professional athletes don't bulk up on weight training alone. Just sayin'.
Is this an isolated speculation, or are there others questioning Arrieta's sudden career turn-around and the possibility of anabolic steroids and PEDs?
In all fairness, we have the example of Sandy Koufax who had several unmemorable seasons before he suddenly became Superman on the mound in the pre-PED era.
Is Arrietta legit or a chemical phenomenon?

Secondly, an observation ...
... Arrietta hit 10 batters in 229 innings during the regular season. Then Arrietta hits two Pirates in two innings who take their bases like men. When Arrieta gets his he has a hissy fit, stunted 'roid rage, that sparks a dugout (and bullpen) clearing ugly confrontation.
And this after Chris "The Cubbie Clipper" Coghlan had recently taken out Jung Ho Kang, arguably the Bucs second best hitter this season, with a very questionable take-out play at second base, causing a tibia plateau fracture and knee ligament damage.
Excuse me, but I'm rooting for the Cards, a class organization, at the next level.
