Approval Of The GOP Congress Is Still Extremely Low
Chart was made from a new Gallup Poll -- done between June 1st and 5th of a random national sample of 1,027 adults, with a margin of error of 3 points.
The chart shows that Americans are still very disgusted with the GOP-dominated Congress. Only 16% of all people approve of the job Congress is doing (including 19% of Independents and 13% of Democrats). But the amazing thing is that Republicans are the unhappiest with their own Republican Congress. Only 12% of Republicans think the Republican Congress is doing a good job.
Could this be the year that Congress (both houses) flips back over to Democratic control? A lot of Republicans are already unhappy with their presidential nominee, and most of the same congress-people that they don't like will be on the ballot in November. Could a good number of GOP voters just stay home in November out of sheer disgust?
