Apple Pie Moonshine for #SundaySupper

 Our theme this week is Gifts From the Kitchen for #SundaySupper. We have 50 recipes from our group for holiday gifts, hostess gifts, or just something you might want to gift yourself with.This week our wonderful host is Susan from The Wimpy Vegetarian.Apple Pie Moonshine for #SundaySupperMy contribution is Applepie Moonshine.Well, it is not exactly moonshine, but it packs quite a punch!This is a recipe that I previously posted.

To be honest it is one of my top rated recipes.

I thought I would re-post it, because I think it would make a great Christmas gift.

In fact, I give it out every year.

Apple Pie Moonshine for #SundaySupper

Apple Pie Moonshine

Ingredients:

1/2 gallon apple juice

1/2 gallon apple cider

4 cinnamon sticks

1 cracked nutmeg (optional)

8 allspice berries (optional)

1 cup white sugar

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 liter Everclear Grain Alcohol (190 proof)

or Vodka (if you have to)

Directions:

Directions
In a large stock pot (1 1/2 gallons or bigger) combine juice, cider, cinnamon, nutmeg, berries and both sugars.
Cook on high until sugar dissolves.
Allow to cool then remove cinnamon sticks, nutmeg and allspice berries.
Add Everclear.
Pour liquid into mason jars or other pretty jars to give away as gifts.
