From the moment we decided to move back to Pittsburgh and begin a more domestic lifestyle, we knew that we wanted to do something big to reconnect with the city. After doing a substantial amount of research, we realized that Pittsburgh was simply not represented well in the online blog scene even though the market is beyond saturated with sub-par blogs (and, admittedly, quite a few good ones in complimentary niches).
A giant light bulb was flashing above our heads and we knew that an opportunity was present. What better way to reconnect with the city that we used to live in (and love) than by blogging about it, and with a need for a professional blog staring us in the face, we decided to run with it. So after several weeks of behind the scenes work, it is with great pleasure that we're announcing the launch of our newest blog, Discover the Burgh!
About Discover the Burgh
The premise of our newest site is simple: to share the best attractions, restaurants, events, and experiences Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania has to offer. The goal of our site is to be a go-to resource for anyone visiting or living in Pittsburgh who is looking for something awesome to experience. That's it!
We know it is all too easy to get stuck in the rut of only exploring neighborhoods close to your house or sticking to the famous / touristy attractions when visiting a new city. To help get you out of this mold, we're going to do our best on Discover the Burgh to highlight the incredible selection of things to do in the 90 neighborhoods in Pittsburgh as we explore the city over the coming months and years - from the touristic, to well off-the-beaten-track, and everything in between.
We love showing off our city, and this website is not only a way for us to share our experiences around town in a direct way, but also gives us incentive to get out and see, do, and eat it all in the process of sharing it with you. When it comes down to a premise for a blog, I can think of no better and am beyond excited to be launching this new resource.
