The Hollywood couple, Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie finally announced they’re engaged. After seven years of courtship & six children, the couple is officially engaged to be married.
Their engagement was made public when Beverly Hills jeweller Robert Procop revealed that Brad Pitt helped him design the engagement ring for Angelina.
Jeweller Robert Procop’s representative said that Brat contributed significantly in designing the ring for his long-time partner and “wanted every aspect of it to be perfect.”
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s six children are apparently delighted over the couple’s long-overdue engagement. The couple were under pressure to tie the knots by their kids.
Procop said, “Brad had a specific vision for this ring, which he realized over a yearlong collaboration. He wanted every aspect of it to be perfect, so I was able to locate a diamond of the finest quality and cut it to an exact custom size and shape to suit Angelina’s hand.” The ring is estimated to have cost USD 250,000.
The actress was first sported with her ring at the Chinese Art collection at the LA County Museum on April 11.
“Brad was always heavily involved, overseeing every aspect of the creative design evolution. The side diamonds are specially cut to encircle her finger. Each diamond of the engagement ring is of the highest gem quality,” he added.
“It means so much to my kids, and they ask a lot,” he told when asked about the engagement. “It means something to me, too, to make that kind of commitment,” he added.
Pitt’s spokeswoman Cynthia Pett-Dante confirmed the news, saying, “Yes, it’s confirmed. It is a promise for the future and their kids are very happy. There’s no date set at this time. Brad designed the ring.”
Brad Pitt, 48, and Angelina Jolie, 36 have been together for seven years. The two met on the sets of the action film “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” in 2004.
They have six children together, Maddox, 10, Pax, 8, Zahara, 7, Shiloh, 5, and twins Knox-Vivienne, 3.
