I have never included an eye cream in my skin care routine before. I just use a random moisturizing cream to my under eye area, while doing full face routine. When I was randomly browsing Rakuten, I saw this Rosette Skin Update Eye Gel, and was verrry impressed with the ingredients list, and bought it immediately. Let's see the what it claims, and what it has fulfilled.

This eye gel contains 3 types of ceramides, and cholesterol. Ceramides are natural lipids that can be found in abundant on the surface of a healthy skin. They help to protect the skin from external factors by forming a waxy barrier. They also prevents moisture loss from the skin, and reduces dryness.
Other notable ingredients in this product are :
Albizia Julibrissin Bark Extract, a sedative Chinese herb which is used to treat insomnia. It also helps in calming the nerves, and increases blood circulation.
Darutoside which is known to reduce stretch marks through its anti inflammatory properties.
Glycosyl Trehalose, which helps to retain moisture in the skin, and reduces dryness.
Squalane, which helps to reduce dryness, scars, and fine lines.
Tocopherol(Vitamin E), which works as an anti-oxidant, anti-aging, and anti-inflammatory agent.
Here is the CosDNA analysis. Butylene Glycol, and Squalane have rating 1 as acne triggers, and Carbomer has scored 1 as irritant. Tocopherol has scored 2 as both acne trigger and irritant.
Rosette Skin Update Eye Gel Review:
This gel comes in a pink color tube with long narrow mouth-that dispenses just the right amount of product you need. The gel is transparent, and the consistency is thicker than the normal gel creams but thinner than the Rosette Ceramide Gel. In fact I liked the texture of this gel more than the Rosette Ceramide Gel. It glides smoothly over the skin, and does not feel sticky-though it depends upon the amount gel you use . It has no fragrance, and absorbs quickly into the skin without feeling greasy. I put tiny dots with the tube like the pic shown below.
I massage it for a few seconds with my middle finger. Once the gel is absorbed, it forms a thin veil on the skin. I use this eye gel mostly in my night time routine. I have 2 deep wrinkles, and a few fine lines under my eyes. My skin under eye area always look less puffy, and smooth in the morning when I use this gel.
I have used this eye gel for more than a month on my under eye area, and also to my smile lines around my nose and mouth. I am almost out of this gel..so I am using it sparingly now - only when my skin feels extremely dry. So, over this 1 month my fine lines around the eyes has reduced significantly. Though it does not lighten my dark circles, it made my skin more smooth, and firm. Well, my deep wrinkles, and laugh lines are still there and it takes a long time for them to reduce. So I don't want to comment on that.
Overall, this is an amazing eye gel for dry under eye skin, with some quality ingredients. I would not mind using this gel on my entire face if it comes in a bigger size tube for the same price.
