Amazon Preparing to Jump Into Smartphone Battle with 3D Phone – Report

People familiar with the matter have told WSJ that the Amazon smartphone is capable of “displaying seemingly three-dimensional images without special glasses,” made possible by retina-tracking technology embedded in four front-facing cameras to project a 3D hologram like images.

According to the reports, Amazon is expected to take the device into production at the end of April and will launch the device by the end of September to target the holiday season.

Even though the smartphone market is currently dominated by Samsung and Android, this Amazon phone with 3D display could be just what we need to make a difference in current, boring trends in mobile tech.
