alt J This Is All Yours 620x413 ALT J RELEASES HUNGER OF THE PINE VIDEO AND ITS AS DARK AS YOU PROBABLY EXPECTED [VIDEO]

Alt-J has already turned a bunch of heads (read: basically all heads) with the first single off their sophomore album, “Hunger of the Pine”. The track is just as layered and complex as we’ve come to expect  from the British group, but now has the added bonus of stark minimalism and a Miley Cyrus sample. You’ve already heard us gush feverishly over the track, but now we can gush even more over the accompanying video. Taking the dark chugging of the song to some seriously epic heights, the video follows a guy frantically running through woods and fields while getting shot at by, and eventually pierced by, a shit-ton of arrows. Seriously, this kid makes Boromir at the end of The Fellowship of the Ring look like a weak surrender-er. Check out the video above and get ready to wish that you had the chance to see the rest of the movie that this seems like it came from — cause damn, it looks like it would make a pretty badass movie.
