ALL THEM WITCHES PREMIERE “OPEN PASSAGEWAYS” VIA CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Nashville, Sept. 16, 2015 – All Them Witches, the Nashville-based band who have self-dubbed their music as delta-psych and cosmic desert rock, share new song “Open Passageways” via Consequence of Sound (http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/09/all-them-witches-share-new-song-open-passageways-listen/).  The track, which Consequence of Sound describes as “a captivating piece of rock that is as subtle as it is explosive,” comes from band’s New West Records’ debut, Dying Surfer Meets His Maker (Oct. 30).
“’Open Passageways’ is just one chapter of Dying Surfer Meets His Maker,” explains singer/bass player Michael Parks Jr.  “While the songs may be enjoyed individually, in my mind, the balance is only complete when the album is played as a whole. Imagine an alternate universe (not unlike our own) where the forces of choice and chance are palpable, and manifest in solid form to live out their destinies, just as anyone of us would. Intangibles awaken in this world, blind to its fragility, and try their hands at being human at any cost.  This specific chapter is about the movement of people to find something better, instead of fixing what they already have and in turn, unknowingly dig their proverbial ‘grave’ deeper and deeper.”
All Them Witches, who are known for their unpredictable and moody live shows including a storied Halloween performance that lapsed the two hour mark, recently played Loufest, a hardly-standing room hometown shindig at Live On The Green and Bonnaroo, where the band was handicapped as ones to watch by Fuse, American Songwriter and the Nashville Scene amongst others. The quartet has a busy fall ahead of them with performances at both the Midpoint Music Festival and the Louder Than Life Music Festival before joining Kadavar and The Sword for a month of dates and then embarking on a six-week headlining run.
Pre-orders for the nine-song album are available now with physical pre-orders available via Amazon (CD: http://smarturl.it/DSMHMcd; vinyl: http://smarturl.it/DSMHMvinyl) and digital pre-orders available via this link: http://smarturl.it/DSMHM. Instant downloads of “Dirt Preachers” (https://youtu.be/1szYMvWj9QE), which premiered last month via Brooklyn Vegan, and “Open Passageways” are included with the digital pre-orders.
