Awesome new carrier AirAsia Philippines announced that they will commence a four times weekly service (M-T-W-Su) from Clark International Airport (IATA: CRK) to Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport (IATA: TPE) starting December 16, 2012. To celebrate this new red hot destination on their growing network, they’re holding a 888 PHP all-in fare sale.

This low fare can be booked from November 5-11, 2012 for travel on December 16, 2012 to September 30, 2013. Seats are available at AirAsia.com or via their new mobile app on iOS, Android, and BlackBerry. AirAsiaGo also has affordable flight and hotel packages for Taipei.

Cited by the New York Times as “one of the most underrated tourist destinations in Asia,” Taipei is a city of street food, night markets, temples, and modern architecture set on a backdrop of scenic landscapes and natural wonders. Taiwan, from what I gathered at a tourism briefing, offers a host of itineraries for backpackers, honeymooners, and families too.

Meanwhile, to cope with overwhelming demand, AirAsia Philippines is adding an extra three times weekly service (T-Th-S) from Clark to Hong Kong (IATA: HKG) to its daily flight. For the added frequency, they are selling seats for only 799 PHP all-in. Passengers may book from November 5-11, 2012 for travel on December 16, 2012 to September 30, 2013.
