One of the display aircraft at the final Vertical Challenge airshow put on by the Hiller Aviation Museum was this distinctive gyroplane. First flown in 1964, 68 of these were produced before the company collapsed in 1966. Gyroplanes use and unpowered rotor in autorotation to develop lift, and an engine-powered propeller, to provide thrust. Nikon D7000 w/18-200 mm, processed with Aperture.
