Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced that the provincial government will distribute free solar laps to more than two lakh students from a whopping amount of two million and 50 crore rupees.
While addressing to a meeting in Lahore on Friday, chief minister said that the energy crises has made it hard for students to get education.
He said the solar lamps will be given to the intelligent metric and intermediate students under Ujala Program, which is starting early next month.
It is pertinent to mention that Punjab government also distributed 100,000 free laptops amongst the top achievers students in MS (Hons.), MA, MSC, LLB programmes.
