Kicking off its CES 2015 event in Las Vegas, Acer has unveiled a new Chromebook starting at $249. Yes, it looks the same as any other Chromebook, but this device has a 15.6-inch display, which makes it the biggest Chromebook yet.

“The Acer Chromebook 15 is a true powerhouse – it provides fast mobile performance and a large display to help customers accomplish more every day,” said Jerry Kao, president of Acer Notebook Business Group. “ We’re driving the category forward again with the world’s first 15.6-inch display Chromebook, the Acer Chromebook 15.”

15-inch may sounds like the usual laptop size for most Windows and Mac users, but it’s actually a big deal for Chromebook users. Not just because of the large full HD display with 1920×1080 resolution, but it’s also the first Chromebook to use 5th Generation Intel Core i3 processors with fast and quiet solid state drives.
