On 12th January, 2014, the winners of the Golden Globes Awards were revealed, 12 Years a Slave won the BEST PICTURE in the Drama Category, while the same in the Musical/Comedy section went to American Hustle. Actors Matthew McConaughey won the Best Actor in a DRAMA and Leonardo DiCaprio won the same for Musical/Comedy.
