Buffalo Run Farm: Abraham Lincoln Slept Here

Much of Spencer County feels like a historical attraction just waiting to be discovered. There’s a lot of history in these rolling hills!

That’s especially true at Buffalo Run Grill, Gifts, and Farm in Lincoln City, Indiana. Here lies a cabin where Abraham Lincoln is believed to have spent the night in 1830.

 Abraham Lincoln Slept Here

it’s not just a catchy gimmick–it’s believed to be true! Termed the Legendary Lincoln Cabin, it is believed that once upon a time, young Abraham Lincoln was on his way to Huffman Mill, some eight miles from home.

His oxen yoke broke, forcing him to stay the night at this building–what many believe to be an old two-story inn.

Tour inside the building (free of charge) and get a feel for what it was like to live “back in the olden days.”

Other than the chance to visit a site where someone famous truly could have slept there–you can take part in the awesome educational (and fun) opportunities at Buffalo Run Farm, Grill, and Gifts.

Feed Buffalo, try your hand at tomahawk throwing, and enjoy a great Buffalo Burger. Now that’s little Indiana!
