A Year Of Porto, In Black and White

Casa Oriental, Porto (December 2015)

In an attempt not to get buried in the noise of those annual wrap-up posts that float around the internet in December and early January, I’ll be the oddball posting mine now, starting with last December. What prompted this was stumbling across this first photo of Casa Oriental, which isn’t a traditional grocer anymore, sadly. Seeing this now-obsolete night shot of Casa Oriental reminded me how much Porto is changing, and how quickly that’s happening. Publishing photos of a city is like a snapshot in time, so here are 12 snapshots from the past 12 months, in black and white.
