The London 2012 Olympics have brought about spectacular wins and gutwrenching losses for talented athletes around the world, but sadly, it all must come to an end. The closing ceremony airs this weekend, directed by British creative director and choreographer Kim Gavin. While very little information is known at the moment, rumors and hints at confirmations have been rampant in the media, and big names are said to be involved in this exciting event. “A Symphony of British Music” to Include Spice Girls, Muse, and More

The ceremony, titled A Symphony of British Music, has been already described as “an after-show party” by Gavin, and is said to have special guest appearances by rock band Muse, George Michael, and Take That. The most exciting news, however, is that The Spice Girls will be reuniting once again to take part in festivities. In addition, rumors have been flying around of involvements of the boy band and international phenomenon One Direction, Coldplay, Adele, and many others.

Based on rumors alone, the closing ceremony is looking as if it will be every bit as spectacular as the opening was two weeks ago, if not more.

The London 2012 Summer Olympics closing ceremony will air Sunday at 7 pm PDT on NBC.
