I’m not much of a poet. And it’s been ages since I even tried writing a poem in Hindi. But one of my friends on Facebook is penning out beautiful Hindi verses these days. And I suppose, her muse blessed me too for a little while and this little verse wrote itself out:
इस रौशन महफ़िल में जग की
रुस्वाइयां बहुत हैं
हर झिलमिलाती लौ में छुपी
परछाइयां बहुत हैं.
हर राह पर है कारवाँ, भीड़ हर डगर
हर किसी के सफ़र में मगर
तन्हाईयाँ बहुत हैं.
