A Sailing Adventure with Beaulieu Abbey Wedding Photographers

By Linusm

As Beaulieu Abbey Wedding Photographers, if we had to give one word to describe what makes for epic wedding photography it would be….’Synchronicity‘.

There – thats it, in a nut shell!

Apply it where you wish on this Epic Hampshire wedding.  David & Rebecca had it all the way down the line.

Between themselves as a couple, the shared vision for their day.  The gathered friends and family, their suppliers and of course, their choice in photographer.

A carefully planned day with high expectations.  Its dream setting of Beaulieu Abbey in the New Forest, along with its riverside approach.

David & Rebecca wanted to share their love for sailing and incorporate it within their wedding day.  So, a ceremony with a send off by an awaiting boat, sailing down stream to a property adjacent to their sailing club.

"Linus has a special talent for capturing the emotion of the moment. He somehow is in the in the right place at the right time, and without intruding into the day, really captured the essence of our day, from start to finish in a way that I think very few photographers could.
He’s delivered on all the ’standard’ and expected wedding pictures and far more. He caught so many key moments, glances, emotions, feelings, and the passion and excitement of the people.
He’s also professional, genuine and friendly, took time to meet with us before the day and get to know us, and really put in the time and effort on the day to make sure everything went smoothly.
Wonderful pictures, our special day recorded forever, 100% recommended – we couldn’t have asked for more!

Epic weddings arise from considered planning, gathering a great team of suppliers together, a bit of foresight and then letting everyone play their role.  Calm, collected and just left to do their thing.  From the florist, the caters, and the Make up artist onwards, all great professionals who deliver stunning work when left to do what they do best.

Each, only needing the minimal of direction before presenting industry leading results.

Rebecca & David’s Beaulieu Abbey wedding had a wonderful collection of professional wedding suppliers that worked beautifully together.  ‘Synchronicity’ once again!

Support is important

Let’s not forget the back up.  Friends and family, the Grooms men and Bridesmaids.

For a couple whom in their own words profess to share a common ‘lack of time keeping’ – their back up on the day, made sure that it all went like clock work.  The way it should be for the Bride & Groom, keeping them in the bubble of ‘the experience’ whilst others around them keep an eye on things.

As Beaulieu Abbey Wedding photographers, we have seen many an entrance, as well as exit from the venue.  But none quite as unique as their’s.

Tidal timings and atmospheric pressures playing there role, before being safe for friends to sail their proposed choice of sailing craft up the Beaulieu river, to moor outside the Abbey.  The awaiting guests then escorting them to the riverside and waving them off.

It was a great scene to capture, and a beautiful experience for them to share on this magical day.

The story goes on…..

So many memorable instances and real moments of fun and connection for me to capture within their day, I really could go on further.  However, a better alternative would be to hand the day and the experience back, and leave you to view their Photofilm.  Hear it as it happened – in their own words.

From the amazing choral music in the Abbey that day (Rebecca’s sister singing a solo), the vows, the heartfelt wedding breakfast speeches – it’s all there.  One of the best productions I have made to date.

Oh, yes lastly not forgetting my thanks to Rebecca & David.  Thank you for having me along and capturing it all for you all.  You were the real stars that day, allowing me to do what I do best.  Without you, the International wedding photography Wedisson Award & WedAward wouldn’t have happened!

Thanks also to Mo Ibrahim, who came along for the day, second shooting for me and supplying some vital alternative angles – top man!
