Avery Truitt aches for true love—the kind she once shared with Prince Colin. Can she dare to hope for happily ever after, or is a fairy-tale ending beyond reach?

College volleyball star Avery Truitt has not seen her former flame, Prince Colin of Brighton Kingdom, since he suddenly pushed her away five years ago. But now, the sadness of losing her father and the joy of her sister Susanna’s pregnancy have brought Avery back to Brighton just in time for Cathedral City’s enchanting Christmas season.

Avery knows she can’t avoid seeing Colin—now the Kingdom’s most eligible bachelor—whether or not her heart is ready to relive the pain. But seeing him again might bring her the closure she needs after all this time. When Colin finds himself at the center of a centuries-old Brighton tradition, he must decide whether to follow the path laid out before him or follow his heart to the only woman for whom he would ring the Pembroke Chapel Bell. Can Colin convince Avery to meet him at the chapel on Christmas morning—as tradition dictates—or will Avery run back to her St. Simons home and pursue a coaching career as planned?

In the fourth installment of the Royal Wedding Series, New York Times bestselling novelist, Rachel Hauck, weaves a charming story of holiday romance as two broken hearts seek the love they once knew.

As part of the Fiction Guild Elite Reader program, at the end of this year they provided us with six amazing books to read and share with our readers.  I knew my mother, Gloria, would LOVE this book, and since I wanted to let all of you know about them sooner than later, I asked my mom to read it and give us her review!  Here’s what Gloria had to say:

“Sadly for us, this is the final book in Royal Wedding series.  This is Avery Truitt and Prince Colin’s love story.  Five years ago they were in love, but something happened and Prince Colin stopped seeing Avery without an explanation and both of their hearts were broken. Even though they both had broken hearts, it doesn’t mean that love just goes away – which is why there are stories like this one – of second chances and God’s timing.

In the wake of her husband’s death, Avery’s mother wishes to spend the holidays with her other daughter, Susanna, who is married to the King of Brighton and is soon expecting their first child.  Avery knows she could not help seeing Prince Colin during the visit, but seeing him again might bring her the closure she needs after all this time.

There is just something magical about reading a “royal prince and princess” love story.  The romance of the balls, the palaces, and the beautiful gowns all draw you in and reminds you that you are reading a fairy tale and that they will eventually get back together.

The Pembrook Chapel Bell hasn’t rung out since the death of Prince Michael 182 years ago.  However, on the eve of the Harvest Celebration the bell rang.  Was it Colin’s prayer to God that the bell would ring for the love of his life?

The author, Rachel Hauck had a wonderful way of weaving a sweet holiday romance while guiding through life’s obstacles and making it all come together for Avery and Colin for their “Happily Ever After”.  Reading this Christian romance book made me wish that I could go to Brighton and see Old Town and get the delicious bakery. I felt the ending was rushed, but enjoyed this fairy tale where dreams come true.”
