A Review of the Skin Factory 7 Seconds Real Platinum Morning Sheet

By Kwilliford @ExquisiteEczema
I mentioned this product a couple of weeks ago in a weekly favorites post, and it made it into my August favorites. In fact, it was the reason I decided to buy the box for combination/oily skin. This is one of the first Asian beauty products that I remember people speaking highly of. And after trying it out all month long, I can see why people love it. It is awesome sauce. I hate that term, so you know this is serious business.

What It Is:
The Seven Seconds Morning Sheet is pretty much just a miniature, fact acting sheet mask. Like sheet masks, the pads are soaked in an essence that is full of ingredients that are great for your skin. Unlike a sheet mask, these are stored in the refrigerator and take a fraction of the time to use. One side of the pad has little scrubby beads on it and the other side is like a regular facial pad.
What The Heck Does It Do:
Pretty much everything, actually. It preps your skin for makeup and acts as a toner, essence, and a lightweight moisturizer. So you can see how it would really make your morning skincare routine a heck of a lot easier.  It pulls double duty by clarifying your skin and moisturizing it.
How It is Used:
After grabbing it out of the fridge, use the included tweezers to pull out one pad. Using the scrubby (dotted) side, massage your face for seven seconds. I always go a little longer because it just feels so refreshing. Afterwards, flip over to the other side and pat in the essence. This part is important. If you do not do this, the essence does not properly absorb and your skin will feel a little sticky.

My Thoughts:
Obviously, I love this stuff. Not only because it makes your skincare routine easier, but because it actually works well for my skin. After the essence absorbs into my skin, it looks more vibrant and awake. It also feels very smooth. I have also noticed that over the course of a few days, my acne scars appeared less noticeable.  It has not caused any new breakouts, it does not make my face red, itchy, or irritated in any way.  It is the perfect boost to start your day. Keeping the pads in the refrigerator just makes them work even better. Plus it feels amazing on my skin and wakes me up a little. I don't use them everyday. I would say I use them 3-4 times a week. But on those days, my skin just has an extra "oomph" that it lacks on the other days.  It also aids in foundation application. My foundation glides on and looks better due to the added brightness.
Packaging:
These sheets come in a round plastic container. When you open it for the first time, there is a piece of metal that protects it from drying out (I'm assuming) with a tab on it. You simply pull the tab up to get to the pads. Kind of like some cans of soup. After you are done, just pop the plastic lid on. I keep the metal piece in mine.  Also included are a small pair of tweezers that allow you to get the sheets out without actually touching them.  There are twenty sheets and the weight 150 grams, or 5.29 oz.  This is stored in the fridge, and how much room it takes up kind of depends on how much stuff you have. I, for example, have a lot of stuff in my refrigerator, so it takes up some valuable real estate. But if you don't have a lot of stuff, it won't be an issue. I would not recommend traveling with these. The top is sturdy enough for at home use, but would likely pop off on a road trip.

Ingredients:
I am pretty impressed with the ingredient list. There are two things I am not sure about, which are the COS 5 Complex and Skinpia 10. I googled Skinpia 10 and it looks like it is used it products that have  a sunscreen. No such luck on the COS 5 Complex.
  • Purified Water
  • COS 5 Complex
  • Niacinamide (improves tone and texture, helps with discolorations)
  • Adenosine (anti-inflammatory)
  • Echinacea (antioxidant and anti-inflammatory)
  • Chamomile Extract (anti-inflammatory)
  • Fermented Bean Extract. Apparently good for sensitive skin? I have never heard of such.
  • Galactomyces Fermentation Filtrate. Thanks to my degree in biology, I know that this is a particular genus of fungi. Well, specifically a yeast. Apparently it makes an effective moisturizer.
  • Papaya Extract: packed with lots of vitamin C, and an anti-inflammatory
  • White Rose Extract:anti-oxidant and anti-allergy. At least that is what my research brought up.
  • Snail Slime Filtrate: healing properties and supposedly stimulates production of collagen
  • Bifida Ferment Lysate: type of probiotic. Some sources say it conditions the skin, others say it doesn't do much of anything when used on the skin.
Interesting ingredients, huh? They certainly seem to work. I already have a back up container and I can see myself ordering more. You need to try them out at least once. I got mine from Memebox and the price $18.45.
