About a month ago, our friend Cathy took portraits for Jeff and I. He and I aren’t so great at documenting our lives together. Sure, we take a lot of pictures of Hattie, food, and each other. But we don’t take many pictures together…which is why we wanted Cathy to take shots of us before the baby comes.
I love how so many of them capture Jeff and I as our goofy and awkward selves. Hopefully our kids one day will take a look at these, roll their eyes, and say, ‘Yup, that’s our Mum and Dad all right!’
We brought along the two things I had made for the nursery at the time: a teepee, and the giant crocheted pear. They might seem random in the shoot, but they made sense at the time!
