A Handmade Christmas: DIY GIFTS

By Jollygoodstudio @JollyGoodStudio
Happy boxing day one and all! Hope everyone had a great Christmas day? Mine was spent cooking Christmas dinner, visiting family and watching Gremlins. All in all a lovely way to spend it. Now that the day is done, and the presents have been unwrapped, I can share some of the gifts I DIYed. I didn't get a chance to make many this year, Xmas seemed to be upon me before I knew what was happening, but I was pretty pleased with this lot.

I have really gotten into nail art over the past few months so decided to share my love of this with others by creating some personalised decals. I put together some Dr Who sets for my sis, featuring daleks, tardis' and all 11 doctors. I also packaged up some blue nail varnish and nail art pens to create a little Tardis nail art kit, complete with step by step instructions.

For my friend Kimberley I made up some special wedding decals featuring lots of the shapes and elements I used for her wedding invites earlier this year. I also added in her and her husbands faces, because nothing says love like your other half on your nails. Her second pack was made up of all the celebrity crushes she's had in the years I've known her.

The final gift I made was for my new nephew, Freddie. Being the big horror fan I am, his name immediately brings to mind Freddy Krueger. They don't generally make Nightmare on Elm Street toys for babies so I created my own, child friendly one. Baby Freddie seemed to like him anyway.
