A Haiku…

By Richardl @richardlittleda

…for Christmas

Last time I wrote a Haiku, I was at Primary school wearing short trousers. So, when the challenge came to write one for Christmas, it felt like starting over. A haiku is a Japanese style very  poem, usually described as 17 syllables arranged on three lines – 5 syllables, 7 syllables, 5 syllables. My winning entry is below:

Haiku

Still can’t really decide what I think of it, but the judging panel clearly liked it. I wanted to play around with the idea of Christmas upsetting all the rules.

What do you think?
