a Funny Story About Dotted Walls

By Elunstroth @emgeorgia
a funny story about dotted walls my favorite!  a funny story about dotted walls a funny story about dotted walls 1/2/3
So when I was in middle school (note MS Emily was quite the girl..or total nerd) I had an obsession with rearranging the furniture in my room which included my bed, desk and a matching vintage vanity and dresser. While this obsession was going on I was also obsessed with HDTV and TLC home make over shows. On one of the shows they paint polka dots on a girls wall AND made a checkered board out of cork board squares. I went up to my dad and said I want to do it all, blue polka dots on one wall and pink cork squares on the other. With my passion and "total knowledge" of how do this he could not say no..nor give me any advise I greatly needed in the end. A week later (because when I have an idea I have to do it right away or I lose momentum, its a big flaw of mine) I had it all done! The dots were positioned behind my bed between two ceiling high windows and the cork was up by my desk. A few weeks later, the cork started falling...rapidly and I cried. I go the look of "I told you using sticky things to hold them up would not work for long"....
Note: these sticky square things have been much improved and work now like a charm!
I am not sure when my parents finally pained over the dots but they did and whenever a picture pops up that shows the dots in the background I cringe, and know that if I ever do the dots again it will be muuuuch more tasteful!
