A Fairytale Castle Wedding

By Lovegetssweeter @LoveGetsSweeter

Peckforton Castle in Cheshire was the romantic setting chosen for these fairytale wedding celebrations. Maria and Tommy said their wedding vows in front of family and friends at St Helen’s Church, Tarpoley where Tommy had to take a few deep breaths to get his words out! He didn’t hold back the emotions during the speeches either and I dare any of you not to get a little emotional if you ever watch their longer film, I even found myself laughing and crying along with their guests while I edited it!

Maria started her day getting ready with the girls in a beautiful suite at Peckforton Castle. She was soon being laced in to her Alfred Angelo princess dress (and a real princess dress as it’s name was ‘Belle’) and after a little bit of lightheaded-ness (corsets can have that effect in a warm room) and fanning from the maids they were soon in the wedding cars heading to the church. The boys enjoyed the fresh air and a few shandy’s while waiting for guests and soon Tommy was waiting at the bottom of the church aisle for his beautiful bride …

Tommy fought the tears while repeating his vows and the guests joined in with him. It’s so lovely to see and you can’t help but get caught up in such a beautiful moment. They both beamed as they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife and were soon pulling funny poses and faces as they had their group photos taken in the grounds of Peckforton Castle. Zenna at Zen Photographic was in charge of capturing their stunning images and finished with a huge group shot in the great hall.

The meal was followed by some heart-warming speeches. I loved how they were the perfect balance of funny and caring, you could just feel the love gushing out of them! Tommy struggled to keep the emotions from bubbling over as he spoke about his beautiful wife, much to the amusement of the guests who couldn’t help but laugh!

Their castle turret cake was incredible (what a talented friend they have) but it was the first dance that I had been dying to see and I wasn’t disappointed. They did a little number to Love Is An Open Door from Frozen and it was the cutest thing I have ever seen!!!
