A Bold Statement

By Whattowearfor @whattowearfor

I think I may have found the perfect shoes. A bold statement I know. But let me tell you just why these beauties are so amazing!

1) They have the perfect heel height. I am about 5′ 8″. I don’t consider this particulaly tall but I seem to surround myself with people much shorter than myself. I hate towering above people as it makes me feel unfeminine but I don’t feel you can ever be completely dressed up without a good pair of heels. I adore skyscrapers and platforms but given my predicament these aren’t always pratical. Hence why these shoes are such a godsend. The heel is only a few inches. Big enough to avoid being categorised as the ultimate in shoe sins – the kitten heel, but not so high it makes me feel like a giant.

2) They are literally the comfiest things ever. I think this is partly because of the heel height and mostly just a miracle.I don’t need to break them in by wandering around my flat in them for days first or strap my feet up in plasters everytime I decide to wear them. No, no I can dance all night in these babies without a care.

3) They make my feet look small. As you can see from the pics, I’m a size 6. Now, this isn’t massive but a combination of skinny ankles and a host of other reasons, means that I sometimes feel that my feet are disproportionately big for my size. So you can only imagine how happy I am that in these shoes, my feet look positively tiny. Amaze.

4) They are my favourite shade of emerald green. I love jewel tones. Anything which looks like it should be stuck on some precious metal and wrapped around your neck wins big points with me. Amethyst, sapphire, ruby, aquamarine, emerald – I adore them all. This leads me onto reason #5…

5) These shoes fit rather beautifully with my wardrobe, complimenting many of my favourite pieces. What better justification does one need to bite the bullet and hand over the plastic…

6) Except maybe, reason #6 - They cost just £15. Reduced from £28, and available now from Dorothy Perkins.

Enough said really. So here they are.
