7 Australian Beauty, Lifestyle and Fashion Brands You Need To Try

By Triedandtestedblogger @triedtestedblog

I’ve come across some amazing Australian brands recently so I’m dedicating this post to 7 of these brands. Some are newer than others and perhaps you haven’t heard of some (or all) of the brands but I’ve fallen in love with them so I highly recommend taking a look into these!

A new discovery, Dilly’s Collections offers an array of beautifully designed shower caps (how cute is this Babushka design?!) that not only keeps your hair dry and free from moisture but also works to tame frizz and extend the life of your styled hair. What really stands out for me is just how sturdy and well made the shower cap is – it features three layers: Satin, PVF and a Microfibre lining. The cap stays on nice and tight and is large enough to cover and hold my long, thick hair, keeping it away from the water and steam/moisture. I definitely prefer a sturdier shower cap like this one compared to cheaper, disposable ones as it just works so much better! I can see this product lasting years as it can also be hand washed when necessary.

goodgreenbox is a new beauty subscription box truly dedicated to natural, organic and non-toxic products. The monthly box first launched last month and included some great brands and products including a handmade soap,  travel pack of Wotnot Wipes, Suvana Paw Paw Ointment, Moogoo and more. From skincare to hair care and body care, the samples sizes are quite nice to give you a good try of everything but I do look forward to perhaps seeing some full sized products in future boxes. Natural and organic products are traditionally more expensive so the box retails for $25 each month, which is a good price to trial quite a few new brands and products that perhaps you hadn’t heard of before.

PearlBar has created a range of charcoal infused, nylon bristled bamboo toothbrushes for the whole family. The charcoal infused into the bristles is said to act as an antibacterial agent that works to absorb odours and detox the mouth. The soft bristles are gentle on the teeth and gums, working to give a good clean. I do find that I have to brush for slightly longer to get the clean that I would with my electric toothbrush but this is a great natural alternative for those looking to make the switch to more eco-friendly products.

BotanicES harnesses the power of caffeine in their natural skincare products for the ultimate pick me up and boost of hydration. I tried their body creme, face creme and eye creme and was quite impressed with how the range worked. The cremes have a lovely texture which make them rich but not heavy on the skin. They blend in well and you can immediately feel the hydration they provide, even on the first use. The standout for me was the eye creme as I found it perfect for my under eye area which often looks tired and dull thanks to hours in front of a laptop at Uni!

Minxx offers cruelty free and paraben free lipsticks and lip glosses. I’ve been reaching for their lipstick in the shade Innocence quite a lot recently as its a gorgeous nude shade that is very flattering – not too light and not too dark. Pink toned with a hint of brown, the formula provides a creamy finish that is light and comfortable to wear on the lips. It wears away well after a few hours and is a great everyday shade.

I’ve only been using this Silk Oil of Morocco Pure Argan Oil with Rose Essential Oil for a week but I’m already in love. As the weather gets cooler, my hair and skin is looking for a bit more moisture so I’ve been adding a drop to my skin/bodycare. The oil smells lovely thanks to the touch of rose included in the formula and it soaks into the skin well, leaving no uncomfortable or heavy residue on the skin. It’s an oil that hydrates well and definitely provides a glow to the skin. A portion of the sale also goes to support the NBCF.

Modibodi is an innovative bra and underwear brand that has produced quite a number of pieces to protect against ‘life’s annoying but very common unmentionables – sweat, light bladder leaks, menstrual onset, menstrual overflow/spotting, discharge, odour and breast milk leaks.’ I’ve been testing out a piece of underwear and have fallen in love with it! Not only does it look great and fit well but its made from a super comfortable fabric that really does leave you feeling fresh and clean all day. The underwear features a patented Modifier Technology and 3 layer system which fights stains, absorbs and locks away fluid whilst fighting any odours. The bottom of the underwear is slightly more padded and this section extends quite a bit to provide you with the best protection, however it never feels bulky or heavy at all. As someone who does a bit of exercise and normally does use panty liners throughout the week, this product leaves me feeling fresh, cool and confident. It’s also a much more economical purchase compared to purchasing packs of liners/pads. Its washed extremely well and the quality and make of the underwear is fantastic. I’d highly recommend looking into Modibodi’s products!

Have you tried any products from these brands?
