I’ve had a hair and make up trial and the lovely Allison Blake has altered my vintage wedding dress for me, so I now know what I will look like on the day. I just hope that Paul will like the dress as much as I do!
Ever the Hobbycraft fanatic, I’ve been making a few wedding-related bits recently. I plan to put this bright LOVE sign in my parents’ back room, which leads on to the garden where the reception will be.
I’ve made the main body of the orders of service by sticking different postcards depicting Penguin book covers on to white cards. Nearer the time when we’ve finalised the details of the ceremony I will print inserts and tie them in with ribbon.
I’ve also made little seat reservations for the bridal party and close members of family for the ceremony. The little images come off some wrapping paper from the V&A that I cut up, and match the images on the back of our handmade invitations.
Right, I’ve scared myself now writing about how unprepared we are…I’m off to see if I can accomplish some of the things on my to do list!
