5 Songs To Start Off Your Week

Posted on the 24 April 2017 by Music Creates Us @musiccreatesus

Happy Monday, everyone! As music bloggers (and just overall music enthusiasts), we are constantly listening to and sharing our favorite songs both old and new. It was definitely hard to narrow it down, but here are the 5 best tunes that are guaranteed to start your week off right.

Hard Times – Paramore
Obviously we need to put this at the top of our list. It’s been four years since the band’s self-titled album was released and fans have been itching for new music ever since. Paramore is back (with a welcome return from drummer Zac Farro) and better than ever with their somber, yet catchy, track, “Hard Times.” Their fifth album, After Laughter, will be released May 12.

It Is Well – Toulouse
I have to thank Spotify’s Fresh Finds playlist for this one. I was immediately sold on the song’s opening notes and it doesn’t hurt that Toulouse has an incredibly captivating voice, and lyrics about pushing through adversity.

Katie – Pacific Radio
I haven’t been able to stop listening to this for the past week, so now I’m going to make you do the same. The guitar riff is great, keeping a nice steady pace throughout the song, until the chorus builds up even bigger and better. Unrequited love never feels good, but damn it can sound really great — case in point, this song.

Sign of the Times – Harry Styles
In support of all things One Direction, this is a lyrical introduction into Harry Styles, “the artist’s,” persona.

Make Daddy Proud – Blackbear
Shoutout to Blondie & The Beat for recommending Blackbear to me. My ears are truly grateful. Blackbear, who also has a side project with Mike Posner titled Mansionz, just released his third album last Friday and if you’re looking for chill, R&B jams, you’ve found your match.
