5 Products For A Brighter Look - Guest Post From Laurzrah. Hi guys, I'm Laura from Laurzrah. Alice asked me if I wanted to contribute towards her blog while she was, y'know, raising her brand new adorable baby girl, and I was so excited. I’ve loved Alice’s blog for a long time, and we have such similar tastes in makeup.Everyone is always tired – especially Alice with a newborn! – and no one has any time. I get it. I have 5 products that can make you look bright, fresh and awake in 5 minutes. I got you. Before any sort of base, or even just on it’s own, a liquid illuminator is amazing. It makes skin look so much healthier, and I firmly believe in faking it until you make it. The NARS illuminators are particularly sensational – shown here is 413 BLKR, which is a champagne colour, but there’s also a really flattering pink one. I normally mix a bit of this in with foundation and then apply it on high points of the face. It’s a liquid, so you can use your fingers and be done in seconds. The MAC prep + prime highlighter in light boost is also excellent at brightening. Put it everywhere, and make it look like you've had 12 hours of sleep. For eyes, mascara is key for opening up the eyes and making your eyes look brighter. Your eyes are the window to your soul, and all that…When feeling tired or grey, go for pinks. NARS Gaiety looks scary, but is such a soft wash of color that it’s hard to overdo. It makes cheeks look so perky. A slash of bright pink lipstick makes it look like you've put much more effort in. Shown here is the YSL lipstick in 208 fuchsia fetiche. Any bright pink will do, and make you feel pretty. 5 products for instantly looking brighter and more presentable in no time at all – now you know my secrets.
