4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With Laundry4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With Laundry4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With LaundryAs my toddler continues to get older, she wants to help with everything..and I mean everything. But of course, this is all normal and having a newborn, I really do appreciate all the help I can get it at the moment. One of the things my daughter has taken a new interest in is helping with the laundry. I'll be honest, at first I wasn't sure how she could really help but after she watched me a few times she kept asking how she could help me. I thought these 4 tips were perfect for her ( and safe too ) !
4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With Laundry1. Sorting - Allow kids to sort laundry and put the whites, towels, or delicates in certain piles. My three year old loves doing this and its such a great help to me!
4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With Laundry2. Pouring In Soap - With guided supervision, allow your child to add in laundry soap. Typically, I prefer to use natural laundry soap with no fabric softener. Since fabric softener can ruin your laundry machine, it is recommended to not use it, and it is healthier for your family!
4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With Laundry3. Adding Crystals - I let my daughter put in about a handful of Purex® Crystals within the wash. It's an in-wash fragrance booster, which provides freshness that lasts for 12 weeks! Plus its safe for all loads including towels, activewear, and children’s sleepwear! The two scents, Purex CrystalsAromatherapy Tahitian Breeze, reminds me an "escape on a sun kissed breeze to a tropical oasis where exotic flowers blend with essential oils to infuse your laundry with a touch of paradise!" andPurex Crystals  Fresh Mountain Breeze gives you the  crisp air of Fresh Mountain Breeze in every load of laundry. These are my favorites and always a great price so this is a win win for this Mom!
4 Tips On How Your Child Can Help With Laundry4. Switching Loads - Once the laundry is clean, my little one always enjoys helping bring the washed clothes to the dryer. I also use this time to explain to her what type of load we are drying to get them in the habit of adjusting settings so she knows which button to press. She's such a great helper and hopefully with each load washed, in time, she'll feel confident in a few years to do her own laundry!
